Personal data that we process
Amsterdam Art processes your personal data if you have signed-up for one or more of our events or activities and/or if you personally provided your contact details to us. We process the following data:
- first and last name
- e-mail address
- mailing address
- phone number
- organization and occupation
- additional information that you actively provided
Sensitive personal data
We do not collect sensitive personal data. Our website and/or services are not intended for persons under 16 years of age without parental permission. However, we cannot verify whether our visitors are over 16 years of age. We recommend parents to monitor the online behavior of their children. If you think that we collected personal data about a minor under your supervision without consent, please contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org and we will delete this information immediately.
Purposes for which we process personal data
Amsterdam Art processes your personal data for the following purposes:
- to carry out our services
- to send newsletters and/or information about events
- to invite you for future events
- to offer you the possibility of activating your personal account and managing your own data
Amsterdam Art does not make decisions based on automated processing of personal data that may have significant consequences for you.
How long we store personal data
Amsterdam Art will not store your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to realize the purposes for which your data was collected. We handle the following retention periods:
- General retention period: until you request the removal of your data
- Newsletter: name and e-mail address will be stored as long as you are subscribed to our newsletter, when you unsubscribe, your data will be deleted immediately
- If you file a complaint or abuse report, we will collect your name, mailing address, e-mail address, IP-address and relevant data on the subject. This data will be stored for 2 years following the report to be able to comply with potential judicial requests or to build a case file.
Sharing personal data with third parties
Amsterdam Art only shares personal data with third parties if it is necessary to carry out our services, execute our agreements or to comply with legal obligations. If we share personal data with third parties, we make a processing agreement to ensure that the same level of security and confidentiality is maintained. Amsterdam Art remains responsible for the processing of all data.
Cookies and other technologies that we use
Amsterdam Art only uses technical, functional and analytical cookies that do not invade your privacy. A cookie is a small text file that is saved to your computer, tablet or smartphone upon your first visit to a website. The cookies that we use are necessary for the website to operate and for your user convenience. You can remove all cookies by accessing your browser settings.
Viewing, modifying, or removing personal data
You have the right to view, modify or remove your personal data at all times. You can do this by adjusting your account settings in the control panel. Furthermore, you have the right to revoke your consent for processing personal data or to object the processing of personal data by Amsterdam Art. You can also file a request to have your personal data transported to another organization. If you wish to exercise any of the aforementioned rights, please send your request to email@example.com. To ensure that the request is made by you personally, please attach a copy of your ID. To protect your own privacy, please black-out your picture, MRZ (machine readable zone), passport number and BSN (citizen service number). Amsterdam Art will reply to your request within four weeks. We also wish to point out that you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the national supervisory authority, if your personal data is not being handled with care.
