This exhibition brings together drawings by four female painters, each of whom has developed a visual language in which references to distant and/or near history, power and oppression come into tension with the present. Whether the visual elements are derived from pop culture, music, history, art history, mysticism or a mixture thereof, the artworks offer a poetic perspective on entrenched thinking systems.
