OFFICIAL OPENING PARTY

★ from 20.00 - 23.00 hrs
★ Drinks by Asahi Super Dry
★ Music by SYMBYOSYS
Foam has been offered the unique opportunity to temporarily make use of a large building on Keizersgracht, at just a stone’s throw from the museum. In Foam Next Door, we will take that opportunity to stage a surprising presentation of the exhibition Foam Talent 2019. Consisting of the work of twenty selected artists, this exhibition offers a glimpse of the state of the art today. The upcoming generation of photographers transcends the traditional limits of the photographic medium with remarkable ease. Installations that aim to evoke an experience are now as commonplace as the classic two-dimensional photographic prints. Archival material continues to play an important role, as does complex and extended research.
The exhibition will run until 3 March 2019 in Foam Next Door, a temporary annex at Keizersgracht 617. The festive opening of the exhibition, on Saturday 12 January 2019, will be performed by Amsterdam’s night-time mayor, Shamiro van der Geld, with the represented artists attending and with music by SYMBYOSYS.
