Screening: Leviathan: Art, Ethics, Schizophrenia and the Marine Environment

24 November at H.E.R.O.
Shezad Dawood, guest lecturers and panel

‘Leviathan’ is an ambitious ten-part film cycle by British artist Shezad Dawood. In dialogue with biologists, oceanographers, political scientists, neurologists and trauma specialists, Dawood explores the possible connections between marine welfare, migration, and mental health.
The first three episodes premiered in Venice last year to coincide with the Art Biennale, and episodes 4 and 5 will be shown in Amsterdam (at HE.RO) and Rotterdam (at A Tale of a Tub) respectively, during Amsterdam Art Weekend. HE.RO will present an afternoon of screenings, talks, and a panel discussion.
