After solo shows at Kunstmuseum Den Haag, Fotomuseum Den Haag and Rijksmuseum, Olaf will focus in his gallery about his most recent series Palm Springs. During an artist talk at the gallery, Olaf will speak about the third episode of his extraordinary trilogy that started with Berlin and Shanghai. Palm Springs includes photographic works, carbon prints and a series of video-portraits, exhibited for the first time worldwide. The series includes Olaf's concerns and biographical elements. Palm Springs reminds of Southern California mid-century paradise, eternalized by painters as David Hockney. But in Olaf’s version, the outer world is not so pretty anymore. Complicated, and more introspective than before, Olaf shows the increasingly difficulties to adapt to the globalised world.
