About lumber and things that pass by - Delphine Bedel, Inez de Brauw a.o.

30 August - 20 October at Cargo in Context
Delphine Bedel, Inez de Brauw, Iede Reckman and Buster Stroucken

Strolling through the brand new residential area De Houthaven, most people don't have the slightest idea that years ago in the same area lumber from all over the world has been imported and resold. Sinds the completion of the North Sea Channel in 1872 and even before a lot has happened in this particular part of Amsterdam.

Delphine Bedel, Inez de Brauw, Iede Reckman and Buster Stroucken from different approaches and disciplines will reflect on the turbulent history, present and future of the area in a group show.

The project will be launched Friday August 30th from 5 pm with a live-column by Dirk van Weelden (around 6 pm).
