Framer Framed, Humanity in Action and Castrum Peregrini are joining forces for a three part symposium series, “Art as Resistance”. All three organisations deal with themes of collective memory and cultural identities. In three sessions, they jointly explore the necessity for a change in how cultural institutions and producers should (re)present stories and relate critically to histories.
 
In the symposia they will explore several aspects of ‘art as resistance’. During the first edition on 4 February the focus will be on the following themes: diversity, involving communities and the local relevance of a place. The day will start wit a keynote lecture by Dr. Adeola Enigbokan, followed by simultaneous workshops by Maria Guggenbichler, Charl Landvreugd and Patricia Kaersenhout.
