Amsterdam Art
Amsterdam Art is a non-profit umbrella organisation for contemporary visual arts. It initiates and realises collaborations between various cultural parties and promotes their exhibition programs throughout the year. Via the website, bimonthly newsletter and Amsterdam Art Calendar (freely available in participating venues) those interested stay up to date with the most important exhibitions and events happening. Year round Amsterdam Art hosts Amsterdam Art Afternoon: a series of (interactive) lectures and guided tours with a focus on different subjects within contemporary art.
Amsterdam Art’s main event is the annual Amsterdam Art Weekend. The next Amsterdam Art Weekend will take place from 23 till 26 November 2017.
Amsterdam Art Weekend
Amsterdam Art Weekend is a yearly four day event that turns the Dutch capital into an internationally oriented hotspot for art enthusiasts and professionals alike. In an extensive program of over 100 exhibitions, performances, screenings and debates, more than 50 of Amsterdam’s cutting edge contemporary art venues showcase the newest developments in contemporary art, giving visitors the opportunity to be the first to see tomorrow’s artistic talent unfold.
Art professionals and enthusiasts alike descend upon Amsterdam as the Weekend’s carefully curated program brings together the city’s diverse network of galleries, project spaces, art institutions and residency programs. To offer something for every taste and level of knowledge, we design tailor made programs to suit different audiences. Next to the public program, our extensive Professionals program gives national and international art professionals many opportunities to make new discoveries and to extend their network.
Keep an eye on our website and social media for more information and dates.
