David Maljkovic, All day all year, 2016 print on canvas, oil paint, alubond 150 x 100 cm
David Maljkovic (Croatia, 1973) examines collective memory and amnesia in contemporary Croatia. His work consists of collages, installations, videos and drawings, and incorporates images of run-down modernist landmarks. Erected during the communist era and left empty or deprived of their original use, these structures mark the gap between utopian heritage and disillusioned presence.
