Over the course of two years the two institutions engage in a creative dialogue through a series of public lectures, workshops and events in the heart of Amsterdam. Against the backdrop of the accelerated growth of digital technologies that expand the production and circulation of images, text, sound, and objects in contemporary life, Sandberg Instituut’s Radical Cut-Up celebrates the emergence and evolution of the cut-up as the contemporary mode of creativity and dominant global model of cultural production today. Radical Cut-Up encourages its participants to copy, combine, create and celebrate experimental forms of creative production.

Guest speaker: Hanne Lippard
British-born, Norwegian artist Hanne Lippard is a writer and visual artist living and working in Berlin. Her texts are at the base of her time-based works, which include short films, sound piece and performance. Over the past years, Lippard has focuser herself on the production of language solely through the usage of the voice. Her practice stems from design by which she utilizes the voice as a way to convey the discrepancy between content and form.
