Thomas Huber

Art Historian, Dr. Frank Reijnders will give a lecture about the work of Thomas Huber and Marcel Broodthaers, seen within the context of their artistic strategies. The lecture will be held in Dutch. 

Frank Reijnders (1945) is an art historian who has been active until 2010 at the University of Amsterdam. In 1984, he graduated with his sensational book ‘History of Art – its appearance and disappearance’. He is also the author of ‘Thousandsandone Metamorphosis of the Baroque’ (1991), ‘Della Pittura; painting and other media’ (2000) and ‘Masterpieces / Masterstrokes  (2013). The latter has been translated into English and appeared in Art and Theory in 2015. He wrote theoretical articles for De Witte RaafDe Gids and Jong Holland, including 'The intervention of the studio', De Witte Raaf (2001) and 'Duchamp / Leonardo. The transformation of a unique project', Jong Holland (2003). His publications include essays on contemporary artists as Jan Fabre, Michel Majerus, David Reed, Klaas Kloosterboer and Martijn Schuppers.
